The 2016 Nissan Rogue offers many desirable qualities, especially for families. But the number one strength that consumers with larger families rave about is its optional third row that bumps seating from five to seven passengers – a fairly uncommon feature in a compact SUV.

|Fuel Economy:||26/33 mpg|
Opting for the standard two-row configuration, however, definitely has some nice benefits for families with a smaller passenger load. Second-row seats are split 40/20/40 for greater visibility, and also offer excellent adjustability – they slide forward and back up to a full nine inches to create more space, and they recline for better comfort.
Rogue's that come with two-row seating also provide added storage capabilities that all consumers will find very useful. It features a cargo dividing system with adjustable rear cargo area, storage compartments and multilevel shelving capabilities – a total of 18 different cargo-carrying configurations.
The 2016 Rogue is an excellent travel companion for consumers, too, offering a maximum cargo capacity of 70 cubic feet when second and third-row seats are folded flat – an impressive number in the compact SUV segment. Another unique storage feature is the fold-flat front passenger seat, which allows the storing of long items. Groceries, luggage, skis – no problem!
Consumers will be pleased by the many safety features found in the 2016 Rogue – both standard and optional. What consumers are most excited about is the NissanConnect system that now comes standard on the Rogue SL. Nissan Connect is an emergency telematics system that features automatic collision notification, emergency assistance and stolen vehicle locating. The NissanConnect system also includes geo-fencing – a favorite of consumers with new teen drivers. Geo-fencing allows driving limits to be placed upon certain drivers in areas of speed, curfew and boundaries.
Other optional safety features most favored by consumers, include blind-spot, lane-departure and forward-collision warning systems, as well as an Around View camera system. Around View provides a top-down, 360-degree view of the Rogue's surroundings during parking maneuver. The system can also be upgraded to include a warning system that notifies you when a moving object enters the camera's view.
While many base-level trims prove to be disappointing due to their overall lack of equipment and features, the Rogue serves up a base trim that is above average – and a consumer favorite. The Rogue's base-level S features everything from LED running lights and remote keyless entry to rear air vents and cruise control. What's most impressive about the S, though, is its technology list, which shows off a trip computer for easy navigation, five-inch central display, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, plus four-speaker sound system with CD player, satellite radio, USB port and auxiliary input jack.
